AMP’s Structure


Each member town and village of AMP, appoints one Commissioner and one alternative Commissioner. Commissioners are appointed for a 4 year term. The Commissioner meets quarterly or more frequently as needed. The Commission sets the overall policy and programs, including adopting a budget, authorizing contracts, and setting priorities.


Each Commissioner has one vote, with the alternate Commissioner voting if the Commissioner is absent.


The Commissioners elect the following Officers: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Recording Secretary. Officers are elected for 2 year terms.


The Commissioners elect an Executive Committee which meets monthly or more frequently as needed. Members of the Executive Committee include the officers, 4 non-officer Commissioners, and legal counsel. The Executive Committee is responsible for implementing the policies and programs approved by the Commissioners.
